Traveling from Tofino to Victoria.

The next day, we had to travel back to Victoria. We stopped and had a great lunch in the Floathouse Restaurant in Ucluelet. And we also stopped just outside Alberni to walk around Cathedral Grove. It has some very large trees inside it. It was peaceful in the forest, but I liked my other hikes better. They were a lot more challenging.

Black Bear Watching

Black bears watching

I was so happy to get so close to the black bears and watch them eat. This is the first time that I have seen real live black bears. We researched them in class, so I knew a lot about them, but to see them… WOW!...that was incredible. I was very impressed by their strength and how cute they are at the same time.

A Bit of A Scare

We were suppose to be there at 8 o'clock in the morning, but Mimi thought it was 10:30 o’clock, so she let us sleep in. But she was awake and was reading the event sheet when she realized that 10:30 was not our arrival time, it was our return time. So, she got us up very quickly. We didn’t have time to brush our teeth, eat, or change our clothes. We jumped in our cars and took off. Thankfully, Eric had been up early too, and he had gone into town and bought us all some hot chocolate, because the night had been quite cool. So, our breakfast that morning was hot chocolate and it never tasted so good!!!! The tour company were very nice, and they waited for us. I am so thankful to them. 

Hot springs

 It was so nice to go to Hot springs, because the water was so warm, and at our campsite sometimes the water was cold! I enjoyed this so much. The hot water was so amazing, and I even didn't want to go back to the camp site!!

 I also sat on the top of the boat for most of the entire boat trip. It was so beautiful. I saw lots of bald eagles and I got to talk a lot to Eric and Mimi and a lady from Ontario. The views were so gorgeous. I love Canada so much! I never want to leave.

Also, I had to across a forest to get there, and the trees were very beautiful, especially the old trees, which were over a thousand years old. Look, how strong they are!! 

I met a dog when I was in the forest. It followed me, and I fell in love with it!! It's very cute and clever. It would stop when I said "stop", and when I said "come on", it would come to me!!! I even gave it a name – Forest, because we met in forest. However, it didn't come to say goodbye when I left. I was so sad, but no matter what, it is in my heart always and forever!!
