Chinatown, Harbour Walking Tour, Parliament Buildings

Well first I went to Chinatown today and there were so many awesome things to see. It really opened my horizon, because I learned how much impact Chinese people on the building of Victoria and the Canadian National Railway. I also saw some old buildings with Chinese words written on them and that was really cool. Sometimes, I it made me think of the architecture in Hong Kong, because I could see the Chinese influence. We walked down Fan Tan Alley, a very narrow alley. This alley was built by the Chinese and they named it Fan Tan alley, because most of the businesses were Fan Tan gambling dens. I also learned how to play Fan Tan which was very neat, and cool as I have never played a gambling game before. I love this place so much.

 Harbour Walking Tour
Victoria Harbour is so friendly and scenic. We watched floatplanes taking off and landing and we talked with some other tourists as well. We also saw a couple of river otters playing with each other. They were so cute. I wanted to reach out and pet them, but they were wild, so it would have been dangerous to try.

As we walked towards the Parliament Building, we saw a big sign that said ‘Canada 150 years’. We wanted to get our picture taken with it. So, we all climbed on it and Mimi took lots of pictures of us.
The Parliament building is in the background. We did not go on a public tour of the Parliament building because we were running out of time, AND….yes, we really wanted to go shopping AGAIN!! So, Mimi agreed that we could head up to the shops and buy some more souvenirs.

If U like it, give it a like for supporting me plz~
