Goldstream Park

Wow... Today was another really great day. Even though, I have to say that I was so scared today!! Because today we had to hike to Trestle Bridge in Goldstream National Park and the hike, or rather climb, was not as easy as Mt Doug. This time, it was steeper and more difficult, and when we got to the top, we had to cross the Trestle Bridge. I was so scared that I would fall through, even though I know it was impossible, it just felt this way to me. Initially, I needed help, but by the end of crossing the bridge, I could it on my own and I felt safe. I am so proud of myself for overcoming my fear and this is one of the reasons why today was a great day – maybe the greatest day!

I wasn’t afraid of trains while I was on the Trestle Bridge, because it is not a working bridge anymore. We had a picnic on the bridge, and then we started the hike down, and it was harder than the climb up! I never expected this. Mimi was very patient and she stayed with me and she taught me so much about how to climb downhill. I never realized that technique makes such a big difference. I did what she told me to do, and it got easier and easier, and I learned how to find the best routes to climb down. Thank you Mimi for your lessons, patience and believing in me. I really enjoyed learning how to climb. It has been so good for my self-confidence.

If you like that, please give it a like~ XOXO
